Product Description There are two different battery designs. One is alkaline batteries (so called air-oxygen batteries) and the other is zinc-carbon batteries. Both battery types supplied by horizont are mercury and cadmium free and therefore very environmentally friendly. Zinc carbon battery (9V): The voltage curve of the zinc-carbon batteries is distributed steadily decreasing over the lifetime. From a battery voltage of approx. 5.5 V, batteries are empty and must be replaced. Less powerful devices are operated with a zinc-carbon battery.
