The plant reaches a height of approximately 160-200 cm. It thrives in a sunny location, although it tolerates light shade. This ornamental grass, also known as Chinese silver grass, flourishes best in a moist and humus-rich soil. A clump-forming grass, Miscanthus sinensis ‘Malepartus’ is well-behaved and does not tend to spread aggressively. It serves excellently as a hedge or as a solitary specimen in a perennial border.
